Job Description Analyst: Business Process Modeling, OO Analysis/Design, Change Management, Issue Management Risk Management Written

Client: HP

Location: Tigard, OR (just outside of Portland)

Duration: 6 months

C2C Rate: $50-55/hr
Work Status: US Citizen (preferred), will consider Green Card


Seeking candidates for a Sr. Business Analyst role outside of Portland, OR with background in retirement systems. The 6 month contract will support the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and will require strong experience and knowledge in retirement systems. The Business Analyst will interact directly with client, users and the software delivery organization. Responsibilities include elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and management of requirements.

Business Analysts in this role will have successfully demonstrated the following skills over a minimum of
Six (6) years of experience as a Business Analyst responsible for the following:

* Requirements Elicitation – Research and interview

* Facilitation – Prepare and lead workshops (e.g., JAD) and information-gathering sessions

* Requirements Determination – Use structured, repeatable processes for documenting, analyzing and validating requirements

* Business Analysis - Evaluate information from multiple sources; decompose high-level information into details; abstract low-level information; distinguish requests vs needs; distinguish requirements from solutions; and classify, synthesize, and prioritize requirements

* OO Analysis – Use UML models, use cases and object-oriented approaches to capture, structure and communicate business needs

* Structured Requirements: Capture details with precision; drive out ambiguity; ensure consistent understanding across clients, designers and testers

* Business Process Modeling – Document and diagram current state business processes, then derive, document, and diagram desired/future state high-level business processes

* Scope Management – Define scope, manage expectations, and identify potential change

* Requirements Management – Create and maintain baselines and traceability

* Change Management – Identify, assess, and manage changes

* Issue & Risk Management – Identify, manage, mitigate, and escalate

* Creativity and Problem Solving - Bring innovative ideas to complex problems


* Collaboration – Build relationships and work effectively with internal and external teams, at all organizational levels

* Leadership – Communicate vision clearly; provide inspiration, mentoring, and feedback

* Effective Communication:

o Verbal: Explain, question, explore, and listen

o Written: Present information and communicate concepts to business and technical audiences at all levels.

* Effective Presentations – Prepare and deliver at the right level of detail for each audience and deliver with a communicative, professional and engaging style



OPTIONAL SKILLS:
Bachelors degree with 6 years of related experience or a Masters degree with 4 minimum 4 years of experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
No travel.
