The TSM environment is mostly running on version 6 of TSM however we currently have version 5 running in our legacy data centers through the end of this year. Additionally, we have IBM ProtecTier running as a deduplication product prior to being stored on our virtual tape storage environment (currently IBM XiV). Primary job responsibilities include performing routine backup administration of the TSM environment, monitoring the TSM environment and providing operational and engineering expertise on the TSM product. Additional projects are assigned on an as-needed basis. This position has secondary responsibilities for storage related functions which include performing storage provisioning, zoning and troubleshooting of storage issues and frames as required with our vendor. These skills are important to the job but are not critical for consideration at this time. The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-directed team player who can bring second and third level technical experience into the team and provide a can-do attitude. Required Qualifications: 1. Five plus (5+) years of hands-on technical experience in configuring, managing and maintaining an IBM Tivoli Storage Manager environment 2. UNIX, Linux and Windows server operating system skills including the ability to write and troubleshoot shell scripts 3. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to think strategically 4. Strong written and verbal communications as well as interpersonal skills. 5. On-call support 24x7 as required along with evening and weekend work when required 6. Must be able to achieve and maintain the required NERC-CIP, Nuclear Data Access, and other corporate or departmental certifications, training, and/or clearances needed to have appropriate accesses to the PPL environment Desired Technical Qualifications: 1. Experience with IBM ProtecTier or other deduplication product 2. Experience with Cisco MDS Switches and Fiber Channel over Ethernet configurations (FCoE) 3. Experience with IBM XiV, IBM San Volume Controller (SVC), Centera or other Content Addressable Storage product, 4.
