Job Description Administrator: DB2 Experience, DB2 For Z/OS, Db2 Automation Tool, IBM DB2 Admin Tivoli Omegamon ISPF JCL R

Description:

The Database Administrator is responsible for data analysis and database management.

* Design and maintain DB2 Database applications which have the following characteristics:
* Design for high availability.
* Design for maximum performance.
* Maintain and develop techniques and procedures to provide 24x7 availability.
* Provide production and test database support in a complex environment.
* Perform all functions which are performed by a DB2 Database Administrator, such as:
* SQL code reviews.
* Performance Monitoring and Tuning DB2 at the application database level.
* Enforce appropriate DB2 security standards.
* Collaborate with the DB2 systems programming staff to appropriately manage DSNZPARM settings.
* Create, manage and support DB2 Stored Procedures, DB2 Triggers, and DB2 Referential Integrity.
* Create Change Requests, Resolve Service Requests, Provide 24x7 On call support.
* Provide DB2 Connect configuration access support for individual users and distributed systems.
* Coordinate with team members on technical decisions and directions.
* Work with Management to develop project schedules.

Required Skills:

* DB2 experience
* Excellent knowledge of DB2 z/OS Database Support
* Data Modeling expertise – logical and physical design
* DB2 performance and tuning
* Complex SQL coding / tuning
* DB2 tools skill set including/not limited to: IBM DB2 Admin Tool, * DB2 Automation Tool, DB2 Explain, Query Monitor, File Mgr, Tivoli * OMEGAMON
* z/OS Mainframe skills: TSO and ISPF, JCL, DFSORT and /or ICETOOL, * REXX, z/OS Utilities
* DB2 attachments/interfaces include DRDA, DB2 Connect
* rz/OS DB2 V9 or greater in a production environment with high transaction rates
* DB2 V9 and V10 utilities setup and execution
* Problem solving and analytical skills, Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and projects

Desired Skills:

* DB2 V9 or V10 Certification preferred
* IMS Database Utilities and Experience (IBM, BMC, NEON, etc.)
* ETL tools experience (InfoShere, Informatica, etc.)
