Position Purpose This position works within the Enterprise Data Center (EDC) in the Commonwealth Technology Center (CTC) in the Bureau of Compute and Messaging Services. This position provides support for the EDC data center infrastructure services including Windows and Linux server administration, Active Directory services, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) administration, Patch Management and systems and application monitoring. Knowledge advantageous for this position includes experience with Microsoft Windows administration, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). Proven experience in troubleshooting technical issues, working in a multi-team environment along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position. Description of Duties Provides customer support for troubleshooting issues within the EDC. Administers and maintains an enterprise Active Directory environment. Maintains and supports enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services. Works with clients and other technical teams to define requirements for monitoring systems and applications deployed within the EDC. Configures, maintains and documents custom monitoring solutions. Deploys, configures, administers and upgrades EDCs Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) implementation. Develops patch management plan for applying patches to EDC servers in a multi-tiered environment. Participates in monthly patching cycle to apply patches and monitor compliance. Deploys, configures, administers and upgrades EDCs Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) implementation. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for EDC processes. Maintains current knowledge of enterprise policies and procedures including IT Bulletins, Management Directives, CISO security recommendations and EDC practices in order to ensure service offerings are in compliance with established policies. Required Skills: * Enterprise experience working in a Windows (2003/2008) environment * Enterprise experience and demonstrated technical proficiency in Unix/Linux Administration * Enterprise experience and demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft PKI * SCCM packaging and application deployment in an enterprise network * SCCM deployment of security patches * SCCM report and query writing * Experience working in a Data Center Environment * Experience working in Change Management atmosphere consisting of detailed policies/procedures * Experience troubleshooting technical issues * Experience working in a multi-team environment * Systems Center Operation Manger (SCOM) administration experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills: * Enterprise level Active Directory 2003/2008 Administration experience * Enterprise level IIS Administration experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
