Description:

The Client seeks a Senior Program Manager to provide project management services to advance IT projects within Client s Information Systems and Technology Office (ISTO). ISTO manages a portfolio of more than 150 projects. Many of these projects are inter-related and are grouped into programs.
The Senior Program Manager will work with Client s existing project management methodology and will serve as a senior project manager on multiple highly-complex and high visibility projects.

Required Skills:

* Experience as a Project Manager for large and complex Information Technology projects
* Senior or Lead Project Management experience including supervision of project management teams
* Experience preparing formal reports to include; Status Reports, Management Dashboards, Project Metrics
* Experience working as part of a Project Management Office (PMO)
* Experience managing large IT Application Development projects
* Experience managing large IT Infrastructure projects
Strong oral / written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization including executive staff
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others to complete tasks


Desired Skills:

* PMP or similar project management certification
* Experience in utilizing Iterative Project Management Methodologies
* Experience creating detailed project plans using project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project)
* Experience working in support of local, state and/or federal govt
