This group is responsible for ensuring the timely of deployment and operations of the Xfinity subscriber web and mobile client applications with a high degree of quality that exceeds customer expectations. In this role you will collaborate with other operations managers, developers, designers, testers, product teams, and business owners and to prepare, maintain and support the Operational Readiness for all Xfinity client applications. The primary responsibilities the operations of web and mobile client applications. The team is responsible for engaging and leading discussions with cross functional development and support teams; performing deep dive on operational issues; leading customer experience improvement initiatives; identifying, building and maintaining operational metrics, dashboards and reporting; developing and maintaining technical documentation for operations and support teams; conducting operational readiness exercises;; working with the engineering team to understand changes in the applications and assessing their impact on production operations; preparing and delivering presentations on operational matters related to the products to peers and Executive staff. The candidate will have responsibility to manage relationship with the software development teams and ensure that the client applications and web experiences are delivered according to the operational playbook. The ideal candidate will have experience in both technical and programmatic roles along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. REQUIREMENTS: 8+ years of operations experience or systems/software engineering in a software development or engineering environment Ability to engage cross-functional product and development team and lead discussions and contribute to production investigations and triage sessions Excellent understanding of solution architecture, development processes, and current technologies Experience in troubleshooting and deep diving into technical issues Experience with the agile development process and methodologies such as test-driven development and continuous integration Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation Experience supporting multiple technical projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS: DevOps experience BI and Analytics tools (Splunk, Tableau, etc.) Mobile and/or online video experience technologies (HLS, MPEG4, DRM, etc.) Experience in scripting and/or software development Experience in creating and maintaining system architecture diagrams (Rationale, OmniGraffle, System Architect, etc) Experience working with web and/or mobile software development, QA and operations teams Experience with Agile project tracking software (Rally, Jira, etc.) Experience managing globally distributed teams, including utilizing asynchronous collaboration tools such as Confluence Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent Our team is passionate about teamwork, developing our skills, and creating awesome experiences for customers.
