Job Duties: • Working closely with onsite / offshore teams and customer business owners / users to develop functional specifications with minimal / no supervision • Be the interface between information technology and business functions. • Understand, analyze, and document client business requirements • Planning and facilitating workshops and end-user working sessions intended to capture requirements and validate design • Assist in recommending, designing, testing, and implementing systems upgrades and improvements. • Other responsibilities include: acting as the key point of contact for understanding/researching functionality and helping users; writing, updating and reviewing detailed system documentation; and monitoring job logs of critical system functions. • Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality • Translate user requirements into user requests and functional specification • Develop training and change programs to support project • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs • Work closely with development team, architect, project manager, business analysts to design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain java based web applications in accordance with functional requirements and scope of work. • Contribute and conform to DE adopted software development standards. • Focus on quality and continuous improvement to application and processes. • Participate in production deployment and provide assistance to production support group when needed. • Leading the architecture and implementation of Solr search functionality across search platform on clients systems • Must possess problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Comply with companys Global IT Policies & Procedures Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent. • 10+ years of experience in developing web applications using Java based frameworks, such as Spring. • Solid understanding and application knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns. • 4+ Years of active, recent, and relevant experience working directly on the Solr 6/7 platform. • Must possess problem solving and troubleshooting skills. • Be performance driven, and be able to work multiple projects simultaneously if needed. • Be highly motivated to adopt new technologies, challenges and work in a fast paced environment. • Excellent team player with strong verbal & written communication skills. • Prior work experience with Search technologies such as Endeca, Lucidworks, or Solr. • Exposure to Agile methodology would be nice to have. • 2+ years of experience working with GIT, JIRA, and Confluence would be nice to have.
