DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The Audit Project Manager is responsible for defining, developing, planning, and conducting an objective evaluation of the defined PMO Governance standards diverse to appraise the effectiveness, adherence, and compliance of developed controls. This position will work independently but collaboratively with other department personnel in accomplishing the completion of audit plans as approved by the PMO Director. The Audit Project Manager is also responsible for: • Defining, developing, and executing quality management standards and procedures based on PMO Governance Standards • Ensuring compliance with established control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation • Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings • Maintains internal control systems by updating audit program processes and procedures; recommending new or improvements to current policies and procedures • Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report; discussing findings with auditees and the PMO Director • Complies with federal, state, and local security legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and completing assigned training; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed • Completing additional duties as assigned • Assisting in developing and communicating the objectives of an audit and of other planned services to team members. Identify and communicate each team members role in the audit process. • Execute and review in a timely manner, working papers prepared by project team members for technical accuracy and completeness, as is consistent with generally accepted auditing standards. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 2+ years of audit experience is required 5+ years of strong project management skills to audit intended results for multiple projects and situations based on established governance standards Must possess excellent knowledge of the principles and techniques of the auditing procedures Demonstrates exceptional time management and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of the project Must be an excellent team player with strong communication skills to be able to convey the audit relevant details in a clear, concise manner Must be proficient in computers and must be able to retrieve, maintain and update any audit related data whenever required Must be able to work under pressure and meet the deadlines by assuring completion of project that is compliant with the auditing standards Must maintain complete confidentiality related to the auditing aspects Desired Skills : • Experience in a healthcare insurance environment (Medicaid preferred) • Public sector Quality Management experience is a plus • Experience managing and/or auditing large scale, complex projects involving multiple vendors   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
