A Legal Assistant classification is a non-supervisory/management role. This position is located in Nashville, Tennessee in the Departments Office of General Counsel, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Division. The contract position is full-time (37.5 hours/week). The purpose of the EEO Division is to partner with customers to promote a culture of diversity and equality in the workplace. The key goals for the division are compliance-oriented, collaboration and consulting, promoting education, and customer focus. Key Responsibilities: Intake and completion of intake interviews for complaints involving workplace discrimination and harassment, abusive conduct in the workplace/workplace bullying, violence in the workplace, retaliation, and related workplace policies. Gathers and reviews relevant information and documentation and conducts analysis based on workplace policies and procedures. Prepares written communications and memorandums related to workplace investigations. Requirements: The candidate must have one of the following: (1) an Associates Degree in Paralegal or Legal Assistant studies; (2) a Bachelors Degree in Paralegal or Legal Assistant studies; (3) a Paralegal Certificate; or (4) a Juris Doctor degree or a current law student who has completed one year of course studies.
