Job Description : Job Description- This client is seeking a Database Administrator/Sr. Database Administrator to work in a DevOps environment to support current platforms and integrate new technologies to improve infrastructure delivery. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities * Manage databases on multiple technologies: MSSQL, Oracle, Teradata, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Compose, etc. * Configure, maintain and tune database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. * Manage and maintain Data Replication services. * Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities. * Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. * Provide support for critical production systems as they occur, including after-hours and weekends. * Assist application development teams with complex query tuning and schema refinement. * Work with the Data Architecture team to identify and fix any data issues. * Support data migration or data manipulation requirements for current platforms. * Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. Qualifications * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. * 5+ years of Database Administration experience. * Experience installing/administering clustered Oracle v10g+ instances. Including Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), ODA, Exadata, Golden Gate, Dataguard, database partitioning, and advanced security. * Experience installing/administering clustered MSSQL v2012+ instances. Including Transactional MSSQL SQL Reporting Service (SSRS), SSIS packages, clustering and advanced security. * Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. * Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. * Experience in Design and development of cloud native databases focusing scalability, resilience, observability, manageability and portability. * Support Dynamic environments based on public, private and hybrid Architectures. * Experience managing databases in containers (Docker, Kubernetes, MESOS etc.) * Experience in migrating databases from Oracle & SQL server to PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB etc. * Well versed with Automation tools such as Ansible, Chef & Puppet. * Knowledge of Rest API. * Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for database platforms. * Open and willing to learn new products/technologies. * Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups. * Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM * Experience utilizing DevOps principals in an Enterprise environment. * Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality * Ability to organize and plan work independently * Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment * Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
