A successful candidate will have full-stack development experience including Windows desktop and web UI platforms, significant web service experience on various platforms including .Net and Rails, and experience on traditional relational database systems as well as schema free approaches to data management. Examples of open-source project contributions are a big plus. We are looking for an engineer with a passion for moving the needle on incremental approaches to development and continuous integration, test and delivery. The ability to write well factored cohesive code with good encapsulation and low coupling will be critical. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Build full-stack software solutions according to software engineering design best practices for maintainable extensible code. Use approaches that allow incremental continuous improvement within the contraints of an existing technology stack while taking advantage of opportunities to make the technology stack more effective. Ability to work in an environment of fluid requirements and priorities. Ability to cross team boundaries to forge successful deliverable outcomes. Lead initiatives in Continuous Integration/Test/Delivery Pursue technologies and techniques that accelerate the software delivery capabilities of the team. Ability to elicit requirements from members of the organization as well as reverse engineer requirements from legacy code. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to identify and communicate metrics that provide genuine insight into process, quality, and execution progress. Preferable Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience 5+ years hands-on experience building commercial software systems 3+ years using .Net; must be proficient 2+ years of database experience (SQL, No SQL, Redis, or similar) 2+ years of Linux experience (experience with .NET core on Linux is a huge plus) 3+ years of web technology experience (e.g. - .Net Web API, Rails, XML, HTML, IIS) Good tactical design and coding skills at the module level Experience with web service and database test automation and unit test level TDD Powershell experience a plus (or similar) Hands-on experience with at least one continuous integration tool stack (e.g. - TeamCity) Self-directed, identify areas of opportunity within the constraints presented Supports team members to increase overall effectiveness of the team Capacity to work both independently and in a team environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organization and communications skills; must clearly communicate technical issues and resolutions to key stakeholders, both orally as well as in writing   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
