Job Description : This position supports the members of Premeras leadership team and all levels of management to align strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding key business and IT initiatives across the Premera Enterprise. The Business Architect is a collaborative member of the business architecture team ensuring alignment of Premeras strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding key business and IT initiatives across the Premera Enterprise. The Business Architect works closely with strategy, business and technology partners as well as other senior business architecture team members to identify target state business capabilities and create business architecture content, roadmaps and artifacts and leverage them on corporate and business area initiatives. The Business Architect role is a critical bridge between Premera business leaders, IT leaders, and IT Architects to ensure that strategy, capabilities and execution are in alignment and executed as planned. Job Responsibilities • Mature business capability architecture for the enterprise, inclusive of artifacts such as a maps, value streams and roadmaps. Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing key views of the organization. • Leverage business architecture artifacts to inform and focus strategic conversations with business leaders. Demonstrate potential and actual impacts and opportunities for the business to facilitate critical business decisions. Ensure key views of the business unit in the context of the enterprise are captured. • Partner with IT architecture team in developing an IT framework that aligns with the business plan. Translate business strategy and capability roadmaps for Enterprise and Domain Architects as well as other technology leaders. Provide recommendations to preserve integrity and ensure the delivery of a holistic, integrated solution. • Participate in the creation and governance of business architecture artifacts. Integrate common standards and methods for developing, incorporating and aggregating business architecture in the enterprise. • Partner closely with Business and IT leadership to facilitate linkages between business strategy, IT strategy and delivery. • Work closely with senior leaders in aligned divisions as well as staff in Strategy Development to understand the business and strategy. Create a capability map that reflects divisions strategyinclusive of both business and IT impacted capabilities. • Define the capabilities shared between business units in the enterprise. For the shared capabilities, show the relationship between them via processes, people and systems. • Identify, analyze and suggest improvements in the structural relationships of the business. • Utilize data and metrics to evaluate the maturity of capabilities over time. • Manage special projects and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelors degree in business, healthcare, organizational development or related field or four (4) years of relevant experience. • Five (5) years of experience managing complex projects with inter-related Systems, Process and Business Requirements. Preferred Qualifications • Business architecture experience and familiarity with the BIZBOK® Guide and its usage in practice. • Business Architecture Certification Lean and agile knowledge and experience • Business Architecture Guild Alignment Healthcare industry experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
