We currently have funding through 12/31/2020. Under the day-to-day direction of the Senior Network Engineer, support the Countys communication networks in a multi-site and multi-partner environment. Perform troubleshooting, implementation, support, maintenance, and monitoring of these systems while following County standards. Provide project management for small to mid-size projects. 1-3 years of experience in the field and familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures preferred. Specific duties include: • Troubleshoot, implement, support, maintain, and monitor the Countys communication networks including but not limited to: infrastructure, data, voice, video, wireless, cameras. • Plan, troubleshoot, implement, support, maintain, and monitor the Countys AV courtroom systems. • Provide quality, responsive network and communications support for County users/departments and partner entities. • Implement and maintain security for all networks. • Upgrade the Countys communication networks hardware and software. • Monitor systems to ensure proper performance. Troubleshoot and repair issues. • Document systems, configurations, inventory, licenses, and procedures. Create training materials for IT and end users. Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch. Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Able to access equipment mounted on walls and ceilings and perform work within confined wiring closets. Able to perform work at remote locations indoors and outdoors. This opportunity may become a permanent full-time position with Outagamie County. Funding is approved annually on calendar year. We currently have funding through 12/31/2020. We support the Sheriff Department so selected candidate must successfully complete a Sheriff background check (including fingerprints) prior to being hired. Airport TSA clearance is also required. Local travel between County buildings required so candidate must have a valid drivers license.
