As a Front End UX Developer, you will work within a dynamic and passionate User Experience (UX) group, contributing to the creation of innovative experiences for web, desktop, and/or mobile platform initiatives. You will work with cross-functional teams and use your expertise to support a variety of UX group initiatives, including software product development, user research, standards governance, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with UX Practitioners as a creative partner, providing input and advice around innovation, complexity, and feasibility of user experience designs. You will also mentor, train, and educate others in your areas of expertise, provide oversight to ensure best practices are being employed, and stay current with industry trends. Other responsibilities may include the following, as well as additional, unlisted activities: -Work effectively with UX Practitioners and developers on other teams across the business (both local and offshore) -Create high-fidelity interactive prototypes for various concepts and product features, to be used for UX research (including A/B testing) and for hand-off to product implementation teams -Mentor and guide junior staff on best-practices for Front End development (including responsive Web development) as well as various business processes -Provide technical and creative feedback, input, recommendations, and consultation to Engineering teams to promote consistency and quality in the implementation of user experience designs - Contribute to work estimates, planning, and continuous improvement efforts -Evangelize UX to engineers and other technical staff and effectively communicate the impact of software implementation choices/options on the users experience. Requirements: BS/BA in a related field (or equivalent training and job experience, with seven years relevant experience and a strong focus on front-end development. Must be proficient in responsive Web development and have expert skills in CSS (including CSS3 transformations/animations and tableless multi-column layouts), HTML5, and JavaScript (including "from scratch" and using various libraries/frameworks). Must also demonstrate an understanding of core User Experience principles, philosophies, and methodologies. Expertise in the following areas is highly desired: AngularJS, Twitter Bootstrap, Photoshop/Illustrator, Axure (or other interactive prototyping tools/methods), mobile application development for iOS and Android, unit testing, and using source code management. Other applicable skills/experience: software analytics/tracking capabilities for qualitative user research; SharePoint development; use of database technologies to provide mock data for dynamic prototypes; information architecture; interaction design; and collaborating with remote (offshore) development teams.
