Full job description attached Description: Required Qualifications: - Business analysis experience - Ability to perform complex data analysis - Attention to detail with the ability to synthesize data and information into presentations and materials Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in Research Administration/Grants Management - Experience working in a higher education setting - Experience working with an ERP system implementation, or other enterprise-wide software platform implementations - Experience working with cloud-based software implementations Job Summary: The Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) is transforming the Finance, Human Resources, and Research Administration support environment across the University of Wisconsin System, while focusing on people, processes, and technology. This includes the implementation of a new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system (Workday) and various modules of the Huron Research Suite to support the changes. The activities will include the review and redesign of business processes (including use of ancillary and bolt-on IT systems), redesign of the chart of accounts, and integration of efforts with several ongoing University and UW System projects. The Business Systems Analyst will serve a vital role within ATP. This position will specifically support the research administration team who is working on the implementation of Workday s grants management capabilities (post-award) and various modules of the Huron Research Suite (pre-award). This position involves the following duties: - Perform complex data analysis to ensure data management objectives are met - Perform complex data analysis develop requirements for system configuration - Serve as a subject matter expert to leadership - Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements - Devise or modify complex information systems, including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary - Determine and recommend programs required for optimal problem solution within cost/performance objectives - Participate in requirements planning and feasibility determination - Work on tasks including project or functional requirements, functional design, functional configuration, testing, and process documentation Education: Preferred Associate Degree Additional Information: Anticipated duration of this position is dependent upon program needs. This position will operate in a hybrid format where some work will be performed in-person, onsite, in Madison, WI, and some work will be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus location.
