This contracted resource will provide data and database architect assistance primarily for mortality, morbidity and enhanced state surveillance on opioids data infrastructure development and support efforts. The Office of Health Informatics manages the Enhanced State Surveillance on Opioid Involved Mortality and Morbidty grant and is responsible for reporting mortality and morbidity statistics for public health surveillance. As time and funding permit, this resource will also perform similar functions for other IAS projects, as assigned. The Health Analytics Section (HAS) within the OHI, works closely with the IAS and is in need on timely production of data reports. HAS has several Memorandum of Understanding with the Division of Medicaid Services and Division of Care and Treatment Services to calculate health outcome metrics and ongoing trends. The database architect will assist in compiling analytical files that HAS researchers will use to produce needed reports. This contractor will be located in the IAS Public Health Information Network (PHIN) Unit within OHI and will work closely with HAS staff working on the reports listed above. The Health Data Analytics Database Architect will work with other team members to design, modify, develop, test, write and implement the analytical file components for further analysis.
