Description:

Provide on-site and remote support to approximately 120 UWEX employees. The support is focused on individual users computing environment including:

•Laptop and desktop hardware
•Hardware accessories such as monitors, docks, printers, headsets
•Common applications such as Microsoft Office, internet browsers, conferencing solutions such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
•Connectivity to networked resources via VPN or direct network connections.
•Support of conferencing solutions in conference rooms (Cisco RoomKits).

Specific Duties – Daily as needed:

•Account management and coordination of requests utilizing ticketing systems. Includes acquiring and demonstrating understand of various accounts, why they are needed, and how to get access for users.
•Troubleshooting, researching, and supporting user requests for issues with all technology including hardware, laptops, USB docks, monitors, printers, headsets, webcam, wireless keyboard/mouse
•Troubleshooting, researching, and supporting user requests for issues with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems. Support of connectivity to network based resources such as file servers, print servers, and utilizing VPN (Cisco) for remote access to internal network resources.
•Troubleshooting, researching, and supporting user requests for issues with common software and applications:
oMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
oMicrosoft 365 Services (Outlook, OneDrive, Sharepoint)
oCollaboration Suites (MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx)
oInternet Browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
oCisco Jabber software for softphone capabilities
•Documenting all requests using ticketing software. Upkeep of assigned tickets. Delegation of tickets to appropriate other Level 1 and Level 2 support.
•Support and documentation of process and procedures regarding conference room technology.
•Entering appropriate hardware and software information into the IT Asset inventory management system. Including adding new information as well as documenting re-assignment and or retirement of IT Assets.

Specific Duties – Project Responsibilities:

•Annual Computer Refresh and New Employee Onboarding

o Utilizing standard processes and procedures to image Windows and Mac laptops and installing standard software on the machine.
o Support users transition to their new hardware configurations by migrating information and configuration information to their new machines.

•Help Desk Software Replacement –

o Assisting with documentation and support of UWEX staff on use of the user portal functionality for the new Help Desk software that will be implemented
o Support UWEX IT staff in migration of relevant data from the existing Help Desk ticketing system and IT Asset tracking system into the new software.

•Harmony Project

oAssist UWEX Mac users execute specific documented procedures to migrate their Mac laptops to the new Active Directory and One Drive environments.
oCollect, triage, and troubleshoot questions related to the laptop migration to the new Active Directory and One Drive environments.

Required Skills and Knowledge :

•3-4 years of experience providing Level 1 or Level 2 customer support.
•3-4 years of experience in using ticketing systems
•2-3 years of experience with Microsoft Windows 10
•2-3 years of experience with M
