The project includes .NET MVC web applications with heavy use of JavaScript, jQuery and Kendo UI components. The project involves modernization of an Oracle/DB2 mainframe application to a web application using JavaScript UI, ASP.NET MVC, WebAPI, Entity framework, n-tier architecture and SQL Server. The person in this position will work closely with the development team to complete full stack (front-end and back-end) development. Project duties include requirements analysis, design, front-end web application development, testing, code reviews, implementation. This position will share expertise within the team on the use of JavaScript, JQuery, ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server. Deliverables include technical documentation and quality code delivery. Strong technical mastery in JavaScript is mandatory. Experience working on projects following a waterfall approach, with iterative releases of functionality is required. Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and TFS continuous integration is required. Knowledge of responsive web app development is required. The candidate should have strong communication skills and should be a team player. Position Category: .NET Web Developer 3 (Senior) This senior level .NET Web Developer designs, develops, and implements web-based applications using .NET framework to support business requirements. Includes the use of related development technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, .NET CORE and supported programming languages (e.g. C#, C++, bootstrap) and scripting languages (e.g. TypeScript, JavaScript). Performs development of front-end and back-end development of web applications and web APIs (webservices). Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates documentation, and performs application coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a bachelors or associates degree in area of specialty or 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Can perform with no direct supervision, code is reviewed by team. Reviews junior developers code. Key Success Factors: This project requires strong experience in: • Kendo UI • Javascript, • .NET MVC • SQL Server • Clear and collaborative communication and presentation within the project team, the FSE section, and with executive leadership when requested.
