Research and implement enhancements to take advantage of new technologies. Performance tuning for in-house and data center systems. Assist in creating Data Base Disaster Recovery and Upgrade processes. Work directly with Director of Software Development in ensuring product stability, performance, upgradability and timely adoption of new systems components. Business Description: This position is key in architecting/upgrading new Financial Systems solutions, maintaining customer product performance satisfaction, designing upgrade procedures and troubleshooting system issues. Essential Job Responsibilities: · This is a senior-level position · Should have developed, through education and/or practical experience, an advanced-level operational knowledge of Information Technology (IT) · Should demonstrate the ability to independently solve complex system problems · Should have the skills to handle complex technical problems with little supervision, and interact with a wide variety of financial services personnel, vendors, and internal application development staff · Receives assignments and direction from Director of Software Development as designated within the reporting structure of the most current organization chart · Provides technical assistance to Customers, Client Care, Implementations, Data Center, and in-house Customers Required Qualifications: · Minimum of 5 years of experience required · Systems Programmer with strong relational data base experience, i.e. Sybase, AIX, Linux server experience in high availability applications, highly threaded real-time Java applications experience, tuning and setting up Linux environments and virtualization experience required · Experience using database diagnostics tools helpful · Providing advanced-level installation, administration, and maintenance for the following operating systems (Linux, AIX / Unix, Microsoft.) and the hardware being utilized to run the operating system, systems software / applications, Replication, Disaster Recovery and storage solutions (SAN, Tape Libraries, Optical, etc.) · Providing advanced support, performance tuning and trouble isolation of enterprise-level servers · Provide design, setup, update, installation procedures and support for in-house and customer Relational (Sybase) Databases · Evaluation, adoption and implementation of all new applicable OS releases · Being an independent and highly performing member of the technical staff, offering technical solutions and problem resolution. · Work with R&D staff to determine optimal solutions for all customer system configurations Education: · B.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field is required   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
