NetApp Consultant


NetApp Certified Systems and Storage consultant with significant hands-on experience ability to deploy as well as migrate large scale Data-Center assets for organizations.



· NetApps Professional Services - Advanced consulting services

· Deliver complex projects which include planning and executing large scale data-migrations, object-oriented storage deployments such as StorageGrid Webscale, and advanced cDOT configurations as well as migrations.

· Prepare for migration projects from understanding customers environment, identifying constraints, designing the best approach to performing the actual migration.

· Develop CAT – A cDOT Build Automation Tool to make otherwise Complex Cluster Builds a Single-Push-Button Task.

· Planning, Scripting and executing data migrations using Snapmirror, 7MTT as well as CFT approaches.

· Employing XCP to migrate cross-platform NFS data to NetApp cDOT.

· Working with Oracle DBAs who are more comfortable using ASM Rebalance to migrate to cDOT.

· Deploying object-oriented storage such as StorageGrid Webscale with Altavault integration.

· Planning cDOT SVM & LIF layouts based on customers requirements.

· Understand customers Application environment to build a migration planning document.

· Deploying both Docker and Kubernetes Clusters in support of custom StorageGrid-WebScale implementations.

· Planning and designing new system build layouts.

· Carrying out installations to include rack and stack, storage and network cabling, as well as SAN/NAS/iSCSI/FC storage provisioning tasks.

· Troubleshoot storage access bottlenecks – both at network and fabric levels.

· Perform Non-disruptive firmware upgrades as necessary.

· Perform Controller hardware upgrades and routine break-fixes.

· Perform routine health checks and generate system reports for capacity planning purposes.

· Interact with third party vendors to stock a healthy level of spares required for break-fixes.

· Document change-control processes and procedures required for DC management.
