Infrastructure Resource Requirements: Administration of agencys EMC SAN environment consisting of a Dell/EMC Unity 550F device with 44 hosts connected via two (2) Cisco MDS 9506 fabric switches for redundancy; responsibilities include: Plan/support/design (future needs; capacity planning) Host connectivity (physical - as hosts are connected to SAN) Creating zones/aliases (logical on Fabric Switches to connect SAN to host) Consistency group and LUN creation/provisioning (on SAN, assigning storage to hosts) Vendor interaction (meetings; hardware purchases and refresh planning) Monitoring all servers and devices involved in DOLs processing systems Troubleshooting/Resolving problems in a timely manner, including after-hour issues Cisco Fabric Channel switch configuration Create Visio diagrams, SOPs, and Change control documentation as needed for projects. Administration of agencys Windows server environment (2000 - 2019), which consists of Dell blade and rack servers (75 servers) and Microsoft Hyper-V environment consisting of over one hundred (150) virtual machines; duties include: Planning for new servers Virtualization of existing physical servers Creating specifications, procuring and implementing new hardware and software(dealing with vendors, getting quotes, etc.) Monitoring all DOL application processes (web/application services) for proper functionality using a tool such as PRTG (Paessler Router Traffic Grapher) and Windows System Monitor. Configuration of server operating systems including configuring and support of roles and features such as: Hyper-V virtualization Fail over Clustering (Hyper-V Cluster environment configuration) Network Load Balancing WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) implementation & configuration IIS/Web Services installation and management, including certificate installation and management Migrating proprietary applications to new server environments Print services (support existing; deployed new print server; migration in the process) MS-SQL installation and configuration in a clustered environment System administration to support developers for the agency mission-critical and non-mission-critical server applications. Systems are on modern and legacy applications in Sandbox, Development, UAT, and Production environments.
