Auditing - 2 hours per week i. Working knowledge of audit structure and environment on secvdb.wellsfargo.com, PolicyWorks Sybase ASE baselines, audit configuration, custom scripts, event tracking, file system sizing, audit table sizing, sp_thresholdaction, UNIX commands, gzip, awk/nawk, etc. b. Security Policy Checks – 1 ½ hours per week i. Working knowledge of security policy check script, PolicyWorks Sybase ASE baselines, DBA organization contacts, details around verifying exceptions with application teams, method of resolving discrepancies, etc. c. On-boarding new servers, Tech Refreshes, Server retirement tasks – 4 hours per week i. Working knowledge of Sybase server functionality, replication/synchronization methodology (Sybase replication, dump/load, log shipping, stand-by, etc.), certifications, security policy/checks, PolicyWorks ASE baselines, separation of duties, auditing, troubleshooting, remote servers, remote logins, Sybase website, backups, general knowledge of DBA processes, players involved, notifications that need to be sent out etc. d. sa login maintenance, checkout to DBAs (shared with Shawn Fox) - 0.5 hours per week i. Working knowledge of load_server.pl, locks/unlocks, SRA, Sybase website e. Inventory (Info gathering only, Deb uploads) – 0.5 hours per week i. intradb, tracking changes, DBA organization contacts, application specific knowledge, etc. f. Security database activity – 1 hour per week i. Understanding of RPCs made by applications, structure of security databases, remote servers, remote logins, generating access reports, etc. g. Custom password tools for Sybase (SAM, eim_sms.exe, password.pl) - 1 hour per week i. Knowledge of how tools function, often engaged for environment variable settings related to analysts pcs, weekly cleanup of SAM revoked users table, occasional password resets across all Sybase servers for other analysts and general password support. Also involved in testing of eim_sms.exe functionality when required. h. Sybase Login/User synchronization between source/targets. – 2 hours per week i. Working with ERMT, DBAs, application teams to ensure replication is handled on Sybase website effectively. i. Support provided to support teams. – 2 hours per week i. General support for issues related to Sybase in general and security databases, Telesales databases for Price admin, fielding provisioning questions for complicated requests, requires wide array of skills. j. Inactive logins – 90/120 day drops – 2 hours per week i. Familiarity with load_server.pl, scheduling CRs/WOs, tracking, working with Mark Rehert, etc. k. Problem tickets that WFHM/WFF LOB provisioning team cannot resolve. – 1 hour per week i. High level problem tickets related to Sybase, this could be anything.
