This individual will be responsible for the constant and effective communication among all project stakeholders in order to ensure that all affected entities are appropriately and timely notified of any changes and/or project updates relative to the Replacement MMIS+ system. Responsibilities: * Develop a project communication plan that includes the strategy for getting the right information to the right project stakeholders at the right time based on the different requirements for information as they participate in the project in differing ways. * Effectively preplan in order to reduce the work of communication. * The demonstrated ability to develop tools such as a project ?war room? including bulletin board. * Effectively schedule communications in such a way to ensure they reach the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner. * Proficiency in preparing any needed status reports for the purpose of tracking the progress, identifying problems and enabling team members to take the necessary corrective action. * Ability to work well with team members including team leads on areas that relate to the project and ensuring that both appropriate and effective communication is a priority at this level. * Proven demonstration of ability to work with the external stakeholders, such as program sponsor, customer and resource manager to ensure inputs are solicited and documented. * Demonstrated ability to communicate with external entities to ensure they are made a part of the success of the project through the establishment of a face to face relationship with these individuals as well as fostering an environment where one could ask assistance while providing them with timely, necessary information they need. * Maintaining an open relationship with various entities at all times. * Ability to set up an escalation procedure for rapid communication with upper management for the purpose of making rapid decisions. The individual would be able to discern which level of upper mgmt should be contacted depending upon the degree of variance of the project plan. * Demonstrated ability to develop a plan for close-out reporting. This includes finalization of the project as it relates to the stakeholders. In addition, this individual should possess the ability to glean lessons learned as learning opportunities for the project mgmt process and success. Required Skills: * Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive Communications experience. * Exceptional written and oral communication abilities. * Experience delivering effective communication both internally and externally. * Superb interpersonal and client relationship skills. Preferred Skills: * Minimum of ten plus (10+) years of progressive Communications at the senior level within State Government. * Bachelor?s degree in Communications or Journalism.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
