The GMIS application is a web-based, public-facing application that supports the collection and processing of requests for Highway Safety and Justice Programs grant funds. The GMIS application allows subgrantees to submit their grant applications online. Additionally, the GMIS application allows staff members to: 1) evaluate and award the grants electronically, 2) generate acceptance and rejection letters, and 3) modify the verbiage of each grant on an annual basis. The application has been online for over seven (7) years. The core job duties of this engagement include meeting with staff members, familiarizing with current work flow processes and GMIS application capabilities, compiling system requirements, researching similar systems deployed at peer organizations, drafting procurement solicitation documents, and facilitating the review/comparison of proposed replacement solutions. This project management position will guide the client staff through the Request for Information (RFI) process and then, if needed, a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) process. client envisions needing these services for approximately 3 to 6 months. However, please note that client reserves the right to end this engagement at any time. IN ADDITION TO THE INFORMATION IN THE SCOPE SECTION, • The contractor will be expected to provide a weekly summary of accomplishments and issues to client management. • The contractor will be expected to provide a weekly summary of their planned activities for the upcoming week to client management. • The contractor will be expected to accurately track and record their time. client will provide all existing documentation. client will assign staff to work with the contractor throughout the engagement. client will provide the contractor with all the necessary facility accesses. client will provide the contractor with a suitable work space. client expects the contractor to follow project management best practices to include, but not limited to, the creation of meeting minutes and development of a project task list.
