Design, implement and test programs specified by Business Analysts and reporting requirements. Create scripts to extract and load data to and from data warehouse platform. Assist the data warehouse Business Analysts and other staff with the utilization and implementation of Business Objects universes and reports. * Analyze, develop, test, and document best practices for planning, designing, and adding new agency databases, as well as developing the procedures to link new data to other existing databases on JDW. Work in conjunction with CJJP administrative and senior staff to enhance JDW capabilities. * Troubleshoot and modify failed code and scripts so they work correctly and efficiently. As an agency expert, provide technical expertise and direction to management and staff on how JDW could be utilized for emerging data needs. * Provide technical direction and coordinate with management throughout projects. Direct the presentation, discussion, and explanation of all technical aspects of the proposed projects to Justice Data Warehouse (JDW) management and customers, providing specific purpose, operation, implementation, and maintenance objectives. Work with JDW management to determine internal resource requirements for projects. Participate as a JDW team member and follow all self-directed work team principles. * Using report generation tools, utilities, or application code, create ad hoc reports as requested by senior staff or customers. Coordinate and perform system development, programming, implementation, and maintenance activities. Analyze and administer system management processes including availability, storage management, capacity planning, system performance, data modeling, and system security. Analyze agency operations and procedures and determine feasibility for automation and prepare workflow timelines. Prepare systems documentation and develop program code. Required Skills: * Ability to write complex SQL queries * Load source data from Oracle or SQL, apply business rules, manipulate and load into data warehouse * Responsible for developing and testing the most complex and involved applications that will enhance and supplementing the data warehouse reporting * Develop procedures to link new data to other existing databases * Research, write, test and design multi-agency databases and stored procedures to support a system-wide response to business requirements * Troubleshoot and modify failed code and scripts, so they work correctly and efficiently * Analyze, design, code, test, and document new and existing code to meet specifications and programming standards * Analyze, develop, test and document best practices for planning, designing and adding new agency databases * Create ad hoc reports as requested * Analyze and administer system management processes including availability, storage management, capacity planning, system performance Desired Skills: * Business Objects * Teradata Utilities * Working knowledge of the criminal or juvenile justice * Familiarity with Windows server, task scheduling, and batch file scripting   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
