Description:

The Application Support Administrator will assist with the systems analysis, application configuration, application support, system administration, and system maintenance in support of, but not limited to, the implementation of the Bid / BidWeb modules of HASTUS, a scheduling and operations management application for the transit industry.

HASTUS is a specialized application utilized for transit operations management. The application consists of an integrated suite of modules used for various functions across transit operations, including service planning & analysis, scheduling, employee work & vacation selection, workforce management, day-of-operation management and timekeeping for bus, light rail, and heavy rail operations. The HASTUS BidWeb module is a self-service, web-based application used by transit operations personnel to select the routes they will be driving, along with selecting vacation time off, on a quarterly basis.

This position will perform the following activities and examples, as well as other related tasks as the needs arise.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as lead technical analyst of application support team for BidWeb module implementation.
• Learn and mentor technical application support team on usage of BidWeb module and the modules connection to the HASTUS application as a whole.
• Provide 2nd level support for troubleshooting issues, including issues with application functionality, environment configuration, and system integrations. Escalate items to internal technical teams (Server, Network, Database, etc.) and / or software vendor (GIRO) as needed.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation (procedures, runbooks, and configuration guides) and architecture diagrams; conduct peer reviews of documentation created or updated with other technical staff.
• Perform technical configuration of HASTUS, including definition of foundational data elements, versioning of data elements, and associated application configuration.
• Provide 2nd level support on technical design of user access configuration and provisioning activities, including advisement of best practices. Perform development / configuration, if necessary.
• Assist with responding to inquiries on HASTUS application functionality, data organization / structure, logical architecture, and physical architecture to technical and business stakeholders as questions and / or issues arise.
• Assist with performing ad-hoc data queries and monitoring / supporting batch processes.
• Perform support of end-users with application functionality and password resets.
• Work any and all shifts and / or locations as assigned or directed. This may include shifts outside of regular working hours, including early mornings, late at night, and weekends.
• Respond to emergencies a on a twenty four (24) hour, seven (7) day per week basis.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in application analysis and programming, including design, development, implementation, and administration / support.
