It could be extended beyond that, but the agency doesnt know at this point. PLCB seeks a Cloud Administrator with three years experience with Linux and two years experience with Azure. Cloud Administrator Position Description The Cloud Administrator is a technical position that creates, maintains, and manages the PLCB hybrid on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining a highly available server infrastructure for deploying instances, applying operating system updates, managing configuration changes, and system tuning. Will participate in assessing existing platforms, designing future state, and building transition to migrate both applications and infrastructure to a highly resilient cloud environment. Responsibilities: • Build, design, deploy, scale, maintain, and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple cloud offerings, presently Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. • Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support agency strategy and continuous process improvement activities. • Lead the development of and implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption. • Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices. • Maintain documentation of cloud resources; build checklists, scripts, diagrams, etc. • Act as project lead around further software and platform defined services and offerings. • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools. • Build tools and automation to eliminate manual operations and craft repeatable processes for cloud use. • Recognize and resolve all business issues and impacts related to Cloud resources. • Assess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution, including service quality initiatives to support a “five nines” product availability environment. • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required; maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment. • Perform vulnerability management tasks for resources in all cloud environments, in conjunction with Security team. • Participate in the design, implementation, and management of workload automation initiatives. • Adhere to firm change management, problem management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundations. • Possess broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, and performance tuning of cloud environments. • Maintain a technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/Windows, IT security, and other cloud resources. • Configuring software defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs. • Troubleshoot complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity, application performance, and monitoring tools, and offer high-level strategic planning and advice to allow for the successful adoption or migration of Cloud-based technologies or services. • Work hands-on with Containerization and Orchestration technology such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Provide monthly cloud spend reports, resource allocation, usage, etc. adjusting resources as necessary.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
