Job Description: Project Details – They are rebuilding their legacy application – have a team that has done most of the UI work and now looking to modernize the APIs/middle-tier and then will be connecting everything into the cloud This will be working on their ecommerce platform applications/site – will be building out a virtual ecommerce store for their customers (resellers) first to demo and then will be launching fully into the cloud (Azure/DevOps) for production Building out a new team for API/ASP.net (.NET Core) C# development Will also be doing basic work with Cloud (working with containerization with Docker if possible but have DevOps team that can help with a lot of this as needed) Will also do very basic full-stack work (minimal outside of the API-layer) Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: They will be working with C#, .Net, ASP. Net core as their primary language. Client has been rewriting APIs through their legacy backend. MVC will be a new platform to help drive business into the future. Now they needing to take their REST APIs (Json) and bring them to the digital foundation. They are trying to show case their APIs and build ecommerce store which will show it is fully cable to integration all interfaces needed. They also want to start using containerization with Azure and continue to implement heavy microservice development. They currently use swagger which is incorporated into all the APIs. They want to take it and consume it within a getaway which provides a “nice view” for external customers who are integrating with their systems. They have a separate DevOps team so this Developer will not need to know a lot of Cloud knowledge just have a basic understanding of Azure.
