There will also need to be a small web app that provides administration screens for Business Support Unit (BSU) staff to import files and manage code data. This would include a read-only feature that allows BSU staff to coordinate the efforts of Policy and BSU, keeping up with the changing landscape of Medicaid billing. Implementing the database will alleviate most problem areas, including: - Inappropriately denied claims - Provider Services Unit (PSU) increased calls for denials - Provider frustrations due to billing issues - CMS mandates not being resolved in a timely manner - Policy code changes to BSU not sent timely and precisely - MMIS reference subsystem being current and correct Software Engineer IV description from the rate card: Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
