You will be joining a small team that is taking structured data (xml file) and building an integration into our SQL server environment. This will require creating new schema while also integrating with the existing database to not break a legacy app. Secondly a new ERP/CRM-like application will need to be built from the ground up to service the new EDI data as well as serve as the platform to move several legacy pieces into. Additionally some automated report generation and document creation will be needed. The ideal candidate follows appropriate programming procedures; is familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures; relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of tasks. Specific Responsibilities: Work closely with in-house subject matter experts to thoroughly understand the business domain and use that knowledge to help define, design and implement strategic product. Works closely with the Senior Developer and IT Manager to meet project timelines and goals. Develop, test, and implement an XML integration that serves as key data. Help automate and build document generation. Develop an internal web application to replace legacy custom application. Develop an internal and external web applications to serve as a portal to the public and WCB stakeholders. Desired Skills & Experience 6+ years working experience in ASP.Net, MVC 4/5, Web Forms, & Entity Framework, Data Services familiar with LINQ. Working knowledge of .Net and C# versions for legacy integration and creation of new applications in modern versions. Strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns, including dependency injection and inversion of control. Experience producing and consuming web APIs, including JSON and XML formats Experience with WCF and REST-based services and APIs Experience with data modeling, normalization, and SQL optimization Experience building production web applications using jQuery, Javascript, Ajax, JSON, HTML5, CSS3 and other modern web development concepts. Experience with Database Management Tools, such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), ability to write and support complex queries. Strong understanding of SDLC.
