Acts as an escalation point for production troubleshooting guidance; provides training and mentoring to less experienced developers. May perform website and portal monitoring. Uses knowledge of web technologies to lead projects resulting in functional enhancements of web-based applications. Evaluates systems specifications for client web site requirements, leads design presentations, influences direction and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Coordinates with systems partners outside the group and oversees contractors on projects. Performs web-enabled database development and module design. Uses programming tools to write scripts. Performs web security activities and participates in security planning. 5+ years web development experience which includes the programming / development of web applications. The person filling this position will enhance a current web application. Working largely independently, the individual will be responsible for enhancing an ASP.NET application with a SQL Server back end. As the sole developer on the enhancements, the person will work with a business analyst to create the UI, and with QA to ensure test methods that assure consistency. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, motivated and productive while working independently on most tasks, they will report and/or demonstrate progress at regular intervals. They will have the ability to meet or exceed story expectations and sprint goals, and report any blocking issues in a professional and timely manner. They will have the ability to persevere when encountering issues, and will help facilitate communication within the organization to help keep project objectives moving forward. Candidate will also employ and suggest enterprise standards and use industry best practices when developing solutions for the data tier. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field - 6+ years industry experience in C# .NET development - 5+ years of ASP.NET development focused on classic ASP.NET - Web Forms (not MVC) - 4+ years of experience with ADO.NET Production experience with Visual Studio 2010 Production experience with TFS - 4+ years of experience with JavaScript - 4+ years of experience with AJAX - Experience telecommuting 100% - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Preferred Requirements: - C# .NET and/or ASP.NET Microsoft Certification - Experience using MS Team System, for development, specifically for Agile / Scrum story tracking and for database source code storage and build/test - Familiarity with Agile Scrum development process: sprints, retrospectives and daily stand-ups - Experience with jQuery library; knowledge of jQuery UI widgets is a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
