The application is used by internal DEQ staff to enter ground water quality data into the database and track wells that are sampled. Each well in the database has a unique site ID that is generated by the application. There are two sections to the application for general users: projects and wells. The project section of the application contains the sampling round(s), a list of the wells sampled, field data, and analytical data. This is where users do most of the data entry. The wells section of the application contains contact information and well specific data including well location, well characteristics, and alternative IDs. Users can also use the well section to view which projects a well is associated with as well as view and edit samples. The application is connected with the Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) database so users can auto populate well data if they are able to locate the IDWR well ID. The application also has an administrative function where designated users can manage look up tables, publish data to the public interactive mapper, and track activity. The application was published September of 2013. However, some desired functionality was postponed due to time and budget constraints. Additionally, various bugs and opportunities for optimization have been identified over the last year. See Attachment 1 for a full list of tasks. Attachment 1 - Task Priorities for GWQ Database PSO - has been outlined in priority order (i.e. contractors shall address/complete tasks in the order presented from 1 to 19, descending). Categories of tasks in this PSO include: fixing bugs, optimizing data entry, adding fields/manipulating tables to/for the application and database, optimizing and enhancing administrative functions, and creating a report section that will generate common documents.
