We are looking to hire Sr. Staff Software Architect to help build the architectural capability and roadmap for software products helping achieve desired outcomes for our customers. This is a strategic role which defines the technology roadmap for Port Optimizer portal and data aggregation platform for global customers. Essential Responsibilities This role will provide technical and architectural leadership. Should have the organizational skills to aid the business in developing global products cutting across technologies and deployment models. Responsible for evaluating emerging & established technologies against product requirements and for delivering platform/ product solutions along with tools and processes to support robust designs. Lead and coordinate the domain, technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line. Research and evaluate complex software designs against requirements. Be a technology advocate in business and customer interactions. Develop and define software technology roadmaps in collaboration with senior engineering, product management, peer architecture groups, service leaders. Ability to Use technology roadmaps and technical knowledge to drive and influence organizational and business strategy. Communicate technology strategy in a simple, effective and understandable manner to the business leaders and engineers. Mentor and develop team members and help them grow technically on emerging technology trends as well as domain Have ability to innovate and lead strategic planning for upcoming product roadmap items ahead of engineering teams Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across domains/products Significant experience working on application architecture in an engineering, design and architecture capacity. Proficiency in multiple enterprise technologies, architectural styles, and containerization techniques. Expert knowledge and experience in Java, microservices , event driven architecture, frameworks, various open source stacks, and relational databases. Experience in cloud technologies and practices, building applications using services such as AWS EKS, Lambda, EMR, CloudFormation and MSK, and a well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous delivery practices. Passionate about technology and delivering solutions for difficult and intricate problems.
