Job Description: We are seeking a Cloud Application Developer to join a Corporate Research and systems lab function to develop scalable, production grade, cloud applications. In this role, you will leverage your experience with all levels of the software stack, including backend databases and APIs, frontend UI frameworks, cloud services, and IoT device integration. The state-of-the-art cloud applications that you develop will provide automated deployments and testing that enable internal teams to quickly stand up production ready applications in the cloud. You will work as part of an agile team that will enable applications in diverse markets that include healthcare, energy, manufacturing, personal safety, transportation, electronics, and consumer. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Leverage the latest cloud services from AWS to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, testing frameworks, monitoring, logging, infrastructure as code, and container/event based solutions Write clean, readable, reusable code in a variety of languages including Python, C#, Golang, and JavaScript Work with various source control technologies such as GitHub, Git, and DevOps Embrace the ambiguity of research by constantly learning new cloud technologies Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team to rapidly deliver software systems Synthesize customer requirements, prioritize solutions, and demonstrate the grit needed to deliver exceptional value to the customer Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher and a minimum five (5) years of software development experience in a private, public, government or military environment Preferred Qualifications: Minimum three (3) years of software development experience in a private, public, government or military environment Experience developing with AWS services such as CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, Sagemaker, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, Greengrass, Virtual Machines, Databricks, etc Experience deploying production applications using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Azure Pipelines, and DroneCI Ability to work with many languages and frameworks including Python, C#, C++, Java, Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, React, Angular, and others Experience following disciplined development practices including code versioning (Git, GitHub, DevOps, etc), code reviews, and unit and integration testing Exposure to systems employing machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms such as computer vision, image processing, deep learning, time series analysis, reinforcement learning, and sequential learning Ability to deal with the ambiguity of early-stage scouting and evaluation of new opportunities and the flexibility to change direction as additional information becomes available   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
