Must have AWS Cloud Services experience Position: Red Hat Linux Engineer Location: Washington, D.C. Length: Long Term Contract Responsibilities: The Red Hat Linux Engineer provides support, implementation and design services. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with other team members and determines appropriate course of action for new initiatives. Implements new technology levels and projects as required. Other key responsibilities include resolution of assigned case and change requests and acts as an escalation resource for support issues. Project Activities Lead installation, configuration and upgrade projects. Identify project timeline, major milestones and resource requirement. Determine application and infrastructure needs for projects or initiative. Document new installation and configurations and ensure existing documentation is current and relevant. Coordinate project activities with project managers and other team members. Provide cross training to other team members. Create training materials and presentations as needed. Responds to management requests and direction. Assist with documentation and process and procedure development. Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of standards. Infrastructure Support Deals with all inquiries effectively and responsively, deciding upon appropriate follow-up action. Performs problem analysis to resolve system or application issues. Performs complex diagnosis of problems, consulting with IT team members; coordinates implementation of fixes and enhancements. Collaborates with other analysts/architects as required. Responds to critical issues during off hours when necessary. Recognizes difficult situations and prioritizes and responds accordingly. Providing on-call support on a rotating basis. Complete support incidents and change requests within pre-defined service level agreements. Regularly communicate status of incidents and requests with customers and key stakeholders via e-mail, phone and face-to-face as dictated by the severity and circumstances of the incident.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
