RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Setup and maintain various services and tools, primarily on AWS Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Be involved with Development Operations such as build plans, development processes and management of our technology in AWS Critically evaluate code as a method of learning, and knows when and how to safely refactor code Participate in workflow design and analyze existing production and implementation processes to ensure scalable solutions Develop and maintain large scale applications using Node.js and PostgreSQL Contribute to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities Work with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments Experience integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems Provide support for production issues and working with other peer teams Have a positive and team first attitude QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Minimum of 3 years of software development experience, with a strong focus on application development Previous experience should include, building medium to large-scale, high availability production systems Development experience with Back End Technologies such as: Node.js, Java, PHP, Drupal, PostgreSQL, MySQL Knowledge and working experience with AWS (EC2, IAM Roles, Route53, Load Balancers, Security Groups, VPCs) Should exhibit good system engineering skills (e.g., common industry database design and practices, application architectures, operating systems concepts, networking, etc.) in addition to skills in application development Experience writing/maintaining REST APIs Experience working with Relational and NoSQL databases Understanding of Networking for Cloud based applications Creating and maintaining process documentation Familiarity with Docker, Docker-compose Knowledge of Linux tools AWS cloud developer certification a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
