Job Description : Title: Data Engineer Location: McLean, VA (remote until January 2021) Rate: Dependent on experience Contract Length: 7 months (will most likely extend) Team Details: This team handles 3 key areas for this line of business They are responsible for the development & enhancement of existing models as well as monitoring Key Responsibilities: Creating ML models for data science teams Monitoring model performance Data governance & security Automate monitoring process to make sure models are interpreting data correctly Unit testing Bug fixes Working w/ different DBs SQL queries Standard agile process Technologies Used: The team uses Python almost exclusively (some older models are written in R) & AWS for their cloud environment Agile Environment What theyre looking for: Mid-level Data engineer w/ experience creating complex models in Python 3+ years in Data Engineering in an enterprise environment 5+ years exp overall Experience developing in a cloud environment (AWS) Someone who can be an individual contributor Collaborative self-starter Experience collaborating w/ data scientists & data science teams Patient personality type that is ok working through bureaucratic processes A lot of the data is protected due to data governance & being in a regulated industry so engineers have to justify access to certain data Tech Stack: Python Data model development Data engineering Cloud Enterprise environment experience Bonus Skills: AWS Regulated industry exp like finance or health care   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
