Major Responsibilities: • Develop cloud-native HTTP APIs on AWS, including Lambdas using NodeJS or Python • Capture migration requirements based on existing application architecture & functionality • Assist with creating cloud migration strategies & defining delivery architecture. Migrations will include PHP/Laravel & NodeJs applications with MariaDB databases • Work with internal network operations and cloud governance teams to define & implement migration deliveries • Integrate existing AWS Cognito solution to implement authentication & authorization for single page web applications and HTTP APIs Required Skills and Qualifications: • 7+ years web application development building and integrating RESTful APIs • 1+ year NodeJS • 2+ years cloud-native development on AWS • 1+ years contributing to enterprise web application architecture & design of new systems • Proficient understanding of web based services & protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, REST) • Cloud-native microservices architecture & implementation on AWS • Docker and containerization technologies • On-prem to AWS cloud migration of web applications, including both container-based and cloud-native migrations • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent technical area • Professional communication skills; Ability to articulate technical details to both technical & non-technical staff • Ability to analyze a problem, propose solutions, define technical requirements, and deliver a finished product • JavaScript MVC frameworks (Ember.js, Angular, React, Vue.js, Backbone, etc. Ember.js preferred), JavaScript unit testing tools Pluses Include: • AWS Certifications • Extensive experience with implementing authorization with AWS Cognito • RDBMS (MySQL & MariaDB) • Linux administration • Git version control branching & merging strategies • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, including Gitlab pipelines • Python • Script environments like bash • PHP 7+, PHP Unit, Laravel 5 PHP framework • Apache, Nginx configuration • Unit tests and test-driven development (TDD) • Technical writing & diagramming • Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
