Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTION Were looking for motivated, experienced Quality Engineers to work on Agile teams focused on testing and building upon an automation framework. The expectation should be some level of manual testing, creation and maintenance of an automation suite & framework, and a lot of quality coaching of their agile teammates. Must be a top-tier communicator with a positive attitude and passion for quality. GENERAL FUNCTION: As part of a cross-enterprise QMO (CoE) team, the SDETs primary role is to ensure quality through development and delivery of test automation best practices. Responsibilities include assisting development teams in developing new test automation processes and automation code using various automation toolsets and frameworks, assisting teams in maintaining existing test automation code with a high degree of quality, leveraging strong software design and test automation principles, continuous interest and investigation in current and upcoming testing strategies, methodologies, and toolsets, and using personal ingenuity and creativity to find new ways to test software solutions. The SDET works hand-in-hand with all members of the Agile team to determine customer and product requirements and their applicability to product code and test code. They are also highly engaged in assisting teams in developing and implementing strong Quality Assurance process planning, design, and implementation. They must continually partner to openly exchange ideas and opinions, elevate concerns, and follow quality policies and procedures as defined by Fifth Thirds quality governance standards. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Own - Own and be accountable for advising on automation test strategy, test planning, and test execution across multiple product teams Code - Assist in the implementation of high-quality, reusable, maintainable test automation code using various automation tools and frameworks. Advise - Serve in a strong resource and advisory role for teams seeking to leverage industry-proven automation testing strategies Promote - Advocate across teams for implementing and following consistent, high quality, and thorough automated testing strategies. Problem Solve - Resolve difficult issues, often times with little information, spanning across multiple applications. Develop and Organize Tests - Assist teams in creating structured, clean, and cohesive test cases for new features and/or functional changes in the software, organized into repeatable test suites executed via CI /CD pipelines. Document - Ensure testing activities always grow collective team knowledge through strong documentation and notes. Build Expertise - Build a deep understanding of Fifth Third products and services while sharing testing knowledge and best practices with all members of the Agile team. Research - Study emerging test tools, trends, and methodologies that will enhance existing systems and processes. KEY SKILLS: 5 years experience in Quality Assurance and Testing Experience developing automation frameworks and test suites 2 years experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Experience with modern automation coding languages (Selenium Webdriver, Appium) Experience with automated testing toolsets (Katalon Studio, Quality Center, Perfecto Mobile, SOAPUI, Postman) Experience with application life cycle management tools such as Version1, ALM Experience with CI / CD Pipelining Toolsets such as Jenkins, GIT Experience in Banking / Financial Industries a plus SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
