Description: Job Overview Software Developer serves to engage with business problems solving them with software solutions. The developer needs the ability to perform design, development, testing, and act as a point of escalation for development related production issues. Must be able to work in a collaborative environment and deliver within a timely fashion. Daily activities include writing code, participating in Scrum rituals, and be a subject matter expert that the rest of the team can rely upon. The client is responsible for managing sensitive medical information containing Personal Health Information (PHI), so trustworthiness, security minded, and a careful approach to solutions are critical traits. Knowledge of the medical industry and its technical artifacts is a plus. Utilization of modern software practices is a must and familiarity with AWS specifically is desired. Minimum Qualifications 4-6 years of experience with software design and development 2-4 years of experience with information technology programs and services Experience working as a member of software teams. Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts. Experience with automated testing, performance / load testing, and continuous integration. Experience with Microsoft Windows Servers and *nix-based servers. Experience with NoSQL databases, relational databases, JavaScript / node.js, and Java. Desired Skills Knowledge of configuration management and version control processes. Ability to translate complex concepts and designs into information easily understood at any technical level. Ability to work independently on multiple projects, but also a team player. Experience with medical industry technologies; HL7 v2 and v3, Enterprise Master Patient Index, Insurance claims file formats, MLLP transport, and Interface engines. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services, enterprise data management, information security, applications development, and cloud-based architectures. Experience and success with systems thinking and design/redesign concepts. Strong qualitative and quantitative skills. Strong communication, documentation, and customer relationship skills. Ability to be flexible to change with business needs.
