This environment hosts hundreds of physical and virtual servers and supports functions and business-critical services for executive branch agencies. Responsibilities include • Configuration, installation and maintenance of enterprise Linux/AIX physical and virtual servers • Configuration, installation, and maintenance of enterprise VMware-based virtual environment • Recommend and implement system tuning, security and configuration changes • perl & shell scripting, create new scripts, and modify existing scripts to automate processes • Coordinate and perform installations, upgrades, migrations • Adhere to defined incident/change management process Required Skills: * UNIX System Administration experience with Linux as the core operating system * Must have in depth experience with AIX * Web application administration experience or at least a general working knowledge of web applications, protocols, concepts, methodologies * Experience with IBM TSM * Experience scripting in perl and shell * Virtualization experience – vmWare ESXi * Configuration management experience (puppet, or chef) Desired Skills: * Experience working with AWS or similar Cloud environment * Experience using Veeam backup * Communicate clearly and interact effectively with individuals at all levels of responsibility * Schedule, coordinate and plan effectively * Oracle database and/or application server experience a plus Apache, Squid proxy, DNS, SSL cert and firewall experience a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
