The data for the my|CalPERS retirement application resides within an Oracle RDBMS. *Required Skills: *4.0.a. Senior Technical Specialist/Lead: Functions at the expert level performing a variety of tasks pertaining to the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of data conversions, including data audits and data fixes to ensure data integrity; analysis, design, classification and maintenance of data relationships, including the development of logical data models; and the development and maintenance of data architecture, data dictionaries, and metadata, and may act in a lead capacity on complex projects or may participate with other analysts on projects of a complex nature or broad scope. *Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the following areas: SQL and PL/SQL; data modeling CASE tools; relational and/or dimensional data modeling; data conversions, reports, data audits and data fixes; at least three (3) years of said experience must have been on a project(s) with a budget of at least $15 million. *Must be able to analyze data and situations, identify and solve problems, reason logically, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions. *Must be able to apply creative thinking in the design of methods for processing data. *Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. *Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of audience types using different mechanisms including informal updates, formal presentations, business case documents, and other analytical and technical documents. *Desired Skills: *Experience with the my|CalPERS system *Minimum three (3) years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL *Minimum three (3) years of experience with developing data corrections and data analysis *Minimum three (3) years of experience with data analysis efforts *Minimum three (3) years of experience with working with both business and technical staff to prioritize and develop data corrections *Experience with working with analyzing data within a very large/complex retirement system *Experience with Microsoft Office suite *Knowledge of CalPERS business units and their data requirements *Knowledge of CalPERS business activities and functions *Knowledge of CalPERS legacy systems   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
