Communicate openly internally and externally to keep everyone aware of software changes, project statuses and overall progress on IT requests. Communicate Clearly Ask questions frequently to clarify problems or understand procedures. Seek help from others that may have information to share. Be willing to share your knowledge. Document processes and procedures that are currently not defined. Hold regular stakeholder meetings, especially on larger projects. Have a Questioning Attitude and Analytical/Critical thinking skillset. Research and ask questions. Try to see the big picture and look at other aspects that might affect the immediate request. Follow the 5Ps for an Effective Handoff (Project, Plan, Purpose, Problems, Precaution). Ensure that the person you are working with has a clear understanding by providing details up front, and make yourself available if they have questions or need some guidance.
