Additional security-related duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis once the primary project has been fully vetted to production. *Required Skills: *Ability to communicate technical information effectively orally and in writing with both highly technical and non-technical people at all levels of state government. *Ability to develop and document processes and procedures. *Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. *Ability to integrate knowledge of disparate networks, systems and software in order to recommend solutions and solve a problem in a security context. *Ability to apply principles or theories of computer science and information security acquired through education, training, and previous experience to incident resolution and customer requests. *A working knowledge of and experience with hardware and software systems on multiple platforms and the ability to independently apply this knowledge to difficult and complex problem solutions. *A working knowledge of and experience with the principles, practices, theories and concepts of information security in these major areas: mainframe, network, applications, PCs, peripherals, and telecommunications. *A working knowledge of transport protocols for both local and wide area networks. *A familiarity with the OSI model. *A working knowledge of and experience with project management principles, practices and techniques. *The ability to maintain a working and/or advanced knowledge of IT components and services in a rapidly changing and growing IT environment. *Minimum Qualifications: (Education and Experience): *CompTIA Network+, Security +, SSCP, or CISSP preferred but not required. *Special Requirements: *Fingerprint check *Background check *Valid drivers license.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
