This position reports to the Divisions Grants Manager and will maintain a portfolio of grants and contracts, including federal, state, and local funding. The position will prepare status reports for grants, contracts, and budgets. Maintaining knowledge of grants and contracts and respective budgets to assist in compliance with finance and administrative guidelines, deadlines, and audits is a core function of the position. This position will assist with budget preparation, monitoring expenditures, and preparing and monitoring contracts. The position will also identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process. RESPONSIBILITIES/WORK ACTIVITIES The positions responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Maintain grant monitoring procedures and processes · Monitor and report on grants to the state and on grants from the state to other entities Prepare reports and maintain databases relative to grant development and administration Train staff on grants management and reporting requirements Provide consultation and technical assistance to internal and external staff, contractors, and subcontractors of grants and cooperative agreements Attend grant review and update meetings and provide administrative information as needed Analyze grant budget trends Monitor monthly and quarterly budget spend down and systems to track financial and grant administration deadlines Prepare and obtain necessary documents for grant-funded programs and provide detailed reports to key staff and leadership KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES The positions knowledge and skills include, but are not limited to, the following: Demonstrated knowledge of grant management cycle from application submission to submitting the final reports.
