Linux Server Support Skills Required (Ubuntu specific support skills required) •Operating system updates – Regularly scheduled system-updates, per pre-approved update schedule. •Operating system maintenance – Operating system configuration & troubleshooting; coordinating changes with the development team; •User account maintenance – Add/Remove user-accounts; Assigning permissions based on developer-role •Apache maintenance – Configuration & troubleshooting in regard to the Apache MPM-Prefork HTTPd. •Log Tracking – day to day monitoring of issues that may arise due to changes by the developers or any system-updates that may change functionality; EBDs Linux servers are configured to send out daily “LogWatch” reports that detail overall system activity, allowing the tracking of changes or problems within any particular service, sub-system, or any user-activity that requires elevated privileges (also known as sudo actions). •Maintaining connectivity solutions – including SSH (CLI) and RDP, which allows remote desktop access. •Emergency notification – contacting lead-developer & coordinating any emergency repairs in the event of a system failure. •Assist with backup of Linux platform servers and development of backup procedures. •Other Linux based duties as assigned.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
