IT Configuration Engineer II Duties and Responsibilities: - Act as the internal, primary point of contact within the delivery team for evaluating RFPs and contributing to RFP responses as a senior technical tolling systems SME spanning software and hardware solutions. - Work within the MVSS business to identify, and solicit input from, key individuals and functional area SMEs with regards to RFP responses. - Assist resource managers with identifying project resource needs and gaps ahead of actual demand - Lead the design and architecture of the preliminary/baseline proposed solution - Work with PS&I to identify current product/baseline gaps, and work efforts required to match RFP requirements - Provide an expert level opinion on technical achievability of the RFP requirements; participate in the go/no-go decision. Required Qualifications: - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written - 2 or more years of experience designing tolling solutions in North America - 3 or more years of experience with end to end systems engineering/solution development projects in a senior or lead role Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent - Experience managing large projects from start to finish - Experience writing RFP responses - Experience with gathering requirements and writing specifications Service may be taxable in some states. 3M holds Direct Pay Permits in the following states: AL, AR, IA, MN, NE, NC, SD, TX, WI and WV.
