Unix, Linux, AIX, Solaris, Redhat, Oracle Rac, SOLARIS ZONES The resource should also be able to deal w/ the business sponsors to communicate technical issues. Platform Engineering Specific Role Requirements Must be able to validate server builds performed by the build team meet the project teams requirements and confirm with Pfizers Minimum Security Baseline Research and track down support issues as it relates to the server platform and provide Root Cause Analysis to project team Diligent collaborate with application development team for software install and configuration activity and be able to work with personnel in different time zones. Mandatory experience with Centrify Direct Control to assist application team with Identity and Access management processes and issues. Provide guidance to application team on Pfizer Security best practice as it relates to server platforms Liaise as customer interface for all server platform specific technical issues and questions related to infrastructure Provide and implement tactical Engineering for existing Platform technology solutions and deliver Operating System and 3rd party product updates, testing and document solutions and software deployment utilities as related to the project Provide Engineering support for Compliance, Identify and Access Management, Audit, Security, DMZ, Patch Vulnerability and Disaster Recovery related projects Experience with enterprise-class servers and storage Experience with complex High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures Experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry or a similar regulated environment Able to communicate effectively with technology service providers and engineers/architects Mandatory working experience using HP OpenView Service Center Must have experience utilizing Pfizers SLM Processes Execute implementation of all installation and configuration changes using all of Pfizers internal processes (RFC, Change Control, etc) Unix/Linux Major Role Responsibilities: Provide Engineering and 3rd Level support Application projects listed in Appendix B in areas such as design, configuration and deployment of complex Clustered High Availability and Real Application Cluster (RAC) solutions, migrations of new Operating Systems and Application software to parallel environments using the latest qualified hardware, integration methodologies and transition to production newly engineered services/solutions Effectively communicate project deliverables to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Proactively manage changes in project scope, determine impact on time, quality, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Integration and transition of newly engineered services/solutions into the production environment and provide training, turnover, SLM artifacts and documentation sets Must have a dedicated commitment in facilitating the various project teams by providing Unix/Linux Engineering and L3 support in cutover schedules which frequently exceeds 48 hour windows UNIX/LINUX Experience/Background Progressive experience in IT and/or Platform Engineering experience in a Fortune 500 company. Level 3 Senior Platform Engineering (5-10+ yrs) Extensive experience is mandatory in supporting Oracle E-Business Suite on Solaris and Linux. Demonstrate capabilities in supporting Pfizers global applications and provide real time solutions to address business critical issues. Mandatory experience performing Infrastructure environmental review, implementation review, stress testing, tuning, upgrades and migrations of Oracle E-Business Suite.
