The role applies CDC/CSTE case definitions, identifies reportable case types, performs data cleaning and quality assurance, and collaborates with program and surveillance staff to support data integrity and public health reporting. Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to: • Process and enter hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) laboratory and case data in NBS • Review and manage assigned surveillance and document review queues • Apply CDC/CSTE case definitions to determine case status • Identify acute, reinfection, perinatal, infant, and fetal death cases • Perform routine data cleaning and quality assurance • Process paper, electronic, and orphaned laboratory reports • Resolve data discrepancies and incomplete records • Coordinate medical record requests as assigned • Communicate data issues and notable findings to the team leader • Participate in required meetings, training, and team activities Contractor Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; data entry or data systems experience and medical or public health knowledge preferred. Necessary Special Qualifications: Ability to accurately enter and maintain confidential health data with strong attention to detail. Ability to follow detailed procedures and meet established data quality and performance standards. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
