Description :

DevOps Engineer
6mo to long term contract


The DevOps Engineer will be on the front lines helping to improve our deployment pipeline and support of our industry leading Marketing Operations application. The position will be located in Indianapolis, IN, and will work closely with onshore teams as well as remote teams in Manila, China, and Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate should be competent with SaaS software release methodology and have a passion for automation, instrumentation, and alerting.

Role and Responsibilities

Work as part of the team to improve our deployment process
Implement proactive monitoring in Production environments
Work closely with Product Management and QA to develop Engineering plans that deliver high quality releases of our software products
Ensure that stability, performance, and maintainability of features are managed relative to the business requirements
Recommend and implement usage of current software development technologies and methodologies and help develop best practices for the team

Skills and Attributes

SQL Server (Azure SQL is a plus)
Continuous Delivery release methodologies and toolsets
Windows Server administration
IaaS, PaaS providers (Azure is a plus)
Powershell
Javascript
Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver, and ability to meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to succeed in a matrixed organization that relies on building support in other groups
Strong desire to be a team player
Subject matter expert in DevOps principles and toolsets
Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Basic Qualifications

2+ years in Software Engineering or DevOps role
Bachelors Degree in business or computer-related discipline

Other Assets

Knowledge of Integrated Marketing Management market space
Experience with Cloud, Hosted, or SaaS Web Applications
